What are Socket Head Set / Grub Screws?

Socket Set Screws, also referred to as Grub Screws, feature a widely used hexagon (or Allen) socket. These grub screws are part of Accu's extensive precision screws range. These grub screws are designed with a variety of tip types. The high precision machining of these components allows a general tolerance of ±0.13mm to be achieved - making them ideal for high accuracy applications.

Socket Grub Screw Materials

Socket Head Set Screws can be manufactured from an array of materials, dependent on tip/ point types. Grub Screw materials within the Socket Head range include A1, A2 and A4 Stainless Steel with PEEK, 14.9 Hardened Steel, 14.9 Hardened Steel Zinc Plated and Black Alloy Steel material options available for more specialist product applications. Chemical Blackening and Thread Locking Patches are also available on Stainless Steel Socket Grub Screws.

Accu's range of Socket Set Screws include a variety of Point and Tip Types, from the popular Cup Point and Flat Point, to more specialist variants including Nylon Tip, Dog Point and Nylon Tip Grub Screws.

Metric Socket Grub Screw Sizes

Accu's Metric Socket Grub Screw range features diameters from M1.6 to M16, and lengths of between 2.00mm and 190.00mm.

Imperial Socket Grub Screw Sizes

Imperial Socket Set Screws are available in diameters of between No. 0 and 3/4 inch. Lengths from 1/16 inch to 4 inch.
