What are Countersunk Screws?

Countersunk Screws are a popular type of precision screw. They feature a countersunk head, which allows them to sit flush against a target housing. Countersunk Screws are intended to be used alongside pre-drilled holes featuring a countersink. Countersunk Screws can also be used with flat surfaces when used alongside Countersunk Washers. 

Countersunk Screws have a wide range of applications, from aesthetics to aerodynamics, as the countersunk head of each Screw can sit completely flush with the surface of a housing once installed into a countersink.

Countersunk Screw Head Types.

Countersunk Screws can be manufactured in a wide number of additional materials, including Aluminium, Brass, Nylon, and PEEK. A Chemical Blackening finish and Thread Locking Patches are also available as optional additions on all Stainless Steel components.

Metric Countersunk Screws.

Accu offers a large selection of Metric Countersunk Screws. These components are are available in metric diameters from M1 up to M20, and lengths of between 2.00mm and 200.00mm as standard. Additional metric sizes can be manufactured to order on request.

Imperial Countersunk Screws.

What is a countersunk screw?.

A countersunk screw is a type of screw designed to be inserted flush with the surface of the material into which it is screwed. This is achieved by shaping the screw head in a conical form, matched by a countersink drilled into the material. The use of countersunk screws not only provides a neat and clean look but also prevents the screws from snagging on anything or anyone passing over them.
