Compression Washers are a category of conical washers which are designed to be ductile, allowing them to deform under pressure and absorb forces. Compression Washers are available in two distinct types, Belleville Washers and Disc Springs, with similar fiunctions.

Belleville Washers

Belleville Washers are a flexible, cone-shaped washer which is often used to pre-load a screw.

Disc Springs

Disc Springs are generally thinner and more flexible than Belleville washers, and are often used to create precise spring forces.
