What are Grooved Blind Rivets?

Grooved Blind Rivets are a specialist type of Dome Rivet typically used for fixing metal into various other materials, including brick, plastics and wood. The rivet body of a Grooved Rivet is designed to ‘bite’ into the mating material when setting, making them an ideal choice for joining soft and fibrous materials together.

Grooved Blind Rivets, like standard Dome Rivets, are fitted with a central pin called a mandrel. This is designed to break off inside the rivet body during installation, with the user only needing to access one side of the assembly. This is where the Rivets get their name, as the user is able to perform a ‘blind’ installation.
