What are Cylindrical Rack Gears?
Round Racks are designed to be used alongside Spur Gears, for the conversion of rotary motion to reciprocating motion. Round Racks are functionally similar to rectangular racks, but with an alternative tooth shape. Due to their rounded tooth shape, Round Racks are particularly useful when used in conjunction with plain bearings, which are much more common than angular mounting methods. Accu also supplies a full range of Rectangular Racks.

Components in this range are manufactured from EN8 Mild Steel as standard.
Round Rack Sizing
ACCU’s Round Racks are available in pitches ranging from 1 to 4 MOD, and in lengths of between 500.00mm and 2000.00mm. Non-standard sizes can be manufactured on request.
