What are Countersunk Self Tapping Screws?

Countersunk Self Tapping Screws, also known as Flat Head Screws, are typically used to join two pieces of sheet metal or to join sheet metal to other materials.

Self tapping screws are not capable of creating their own holes in most materials and are designed to be used in pre-existing holes. When inserted into the hole, this screw will tap its own thread into the material.

Being a countersunk screw, this component creates a flush finish within the assembly it sits in.
