What are Parallel Keys?

Parallel Keys are designed to fasten Accu's Pulley and Gear ranges to rotating shafts. Parallel Keys require a keyway for installation, and are compatible with Accu's range of Taper Locking Bushes as standard. Keyways can also be cut directly into a Pulley or Gear on request.

Parallel Keys have a secondary application as a failsafe component, and are designed to be the first component to break within a mechanism, preventing damage to more critical components. For this reason, Parallel Keys should be replaced periodically.
