Self Locking Counter Nuts, also known as PAL Nuts, are a type of vibration resistant locking fastener that can be used in a wide variety of applications.

Manufactured to DIN 7967, a PAL Nut is designed to be installed over the top of a standard Hexagon Nut with the protruding flanges tightly gripping the nut to create a locking action.

Pal Nuts are also suitable for use as a standalone fastener in light duty assemblies, generally being fastened by hand down the thread of a screw or bolt until finger-tight, before securing with the use of a Spanner.

Stainless Steel Metric Counter Nuts

Accu’s range of Self Locking Counter Nuts are available in A2 and A4 Stainless Steel in diameters M4 to M27, with socket sizes from 7mm up to 41mm.
