Accu Triumphs as Eaton Smith Business of the Year 2025
Accu is proud to announce that we have been named Eaton Smith Solicitors Business of the Year 2025, marking a momentous achievement for the company. The award was presented on 27th June at the Accu Stadium in Huddersfield, a fitting location just one day after we secured the naming rights to the club’s home ground, formerly known as John Smith’s Stadium.
In front of an audience of 150 business leaders and influencers, UK Managing Director, Alastair Morris, accepted the award alongside our Communications & Partnerships Manager, Matt Ogden. The ceremony was a highlight of the 29th annual Eaton Smith Business Awards, which celebrate the outstanding efforts and innovations of businesses across Kirklees, Calderdale, and Wakefield.
The Journey from Business of the Month to Business of the Year
This recognition builds on our earlier achievement in February 2025, when we were honoured with the Eaton Smith Business of the Month award. Winning Business of the Year further cements our continued growth and impact in the engineering sector, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the entire Accu team.
From our roots in Huddersfield to becoming a global supplier of precision components, our journey is one of innovation, expansion and a steadfast commitment to quality.
A Commitment to Innovation and Growth
The judges praised Accu for our technological advancements and our significant contributions to the engineering sector. Ben Jackson, partner at Eaton Smith and chair of the judging panel, commented, “Accu is a shining example of a forward-thinking business that continues to push the boundaries of precision engineering. Since our founding in 2012 by Martin Ackroyd and Antony Kitson, Accu has grown into a global leader, supplying over 70% of the world’s top 100 manufacturers in more than 120 countries. Our expansion continues with further investments into our 45,000 sq ft HQ in Brockholes, further enhancing our capabilities and efficiency. Our team has also grown to around 130 employees, all contributing to our success.

In what feels like a full-circle moment, the Business of the Year award was presented at the newly-named Accu Stadium, a venue that will serve as a lasting symbol of our company’s growth and continued local presence. The stadium’s renaming is just one of the ways we’re strengthening our ties to Huddersfield, a place that has been central to our success.
Looking Ahead: The Future of Accu
As we reflect on this incredible recognition, we are also looking ahead. We remain focused on expanding into growing markets, particularly the US, where we plan to soon establish a physical presence. We are committed to fostering local talent through initiatives like the West Yorkshire Combined Authority Cornerstone Employer programme and continuing to support our community through partnerships with charities like Hollybank Trust & our latest Charity of the Year partner The Kirkwood.
