Produced in the USA by ZAGO, this high-tech Torx Countersunk Sealing Screw, is uniquely engineered to feature a captive rubber O-Ring. Once installed, this O-Ring squeezes outwardly to create a 360° seal, preventing internal and external leaks. This helps to fortify and protect machinery from damage as a result of exposure to aggressive substances, even under extreme temperatures and pressures.

Featuring a Countersunk Head, these Self Seal Screws are suitable to be installed into a countersunk hole, resulting in the screw head sitting flush with the mating component’s surface. The pre-installed O-Ring on the underside of the screw head creates a hermetic seal, which prevents the seepage of pollutants into the installation environment.

For optimal performance, it is recommended that a clearance gap is created in the surface of the mating panel to allow the O-Ring to reshape itself within this gap. This allows metal-to-metal contact between the screw head and mating surface, helping ensure the integrity of the O Ring is not compromised when the fastener is under pressure.

Similarly to our regular Metric Torx Countersunk Screws, this Sealing Screw alternative is fastened with the use of a Torx Drive (Star Drive). This is a popular drive type, offering higher torque transmission over the more traditional drive types, i.e. Phillips and Slotted Drives, and allows for increased cam-out resistance during installation.

Materials

Our Torx Countersunk Sealing Screws are produced in A2 (304) Stainless Steel. Various O Ring materials are available, with Buna, Fluorosilicone and Viton (Fluorocarbon) options all offered as standard, with alternative materials for higher temperature applications available on request.

This range can be purchased with our specialist AccuLock finish, designed to reduce self loosening as a result of vibrations.

Sizes

Manufactured to the ISO 14581 standard, Accu’s range of Metric Torx Countersunk Sealing Screws are available in thread sizes M2 to M6, with lengths from 4mm to 20mm.
