Featuring a low profile dome shaped head, which is both aesthetically pleasing and free from burrs or sharp edges, our Torx Security Button Sealing Screws are fitted with a resilient rubber O-Ring to provide maximum protection against internal and external leakages.

This hermetic seal is achieved through installation of the security screw into the pre-tapped hole of a housing object, with the rubber O-Ring squeezing outward as the sealing fastener is tightened into place. For optimal performance, it is advised to use a clearance hole, allowing the O-Ring to reshape itself and cause a complete seal, preventing extrusion into the mating surface when the screw is under pressure.

As with our standard Security Torx Button Head Screws, these Sealing Screw variants are fitted with a Torx Security Drive (6 Lobe Pin), which features a centralised pin that prevents a regular Torx Screwdriver or Drive Bit from being used, providing increased tamper resistance. This security version of the Torx drive also benefits from high torque transmission and cam-out resistance.

Security Torx Button Head Sealing Screws are capable of effectively sealing out air, gas and water, even when subjected to high pressures and extreme temperature conditions.

Materials

Security Torx Button Sealing Screws are manufactured from A2 Stainless Steel as standard, with the captive O Ring available in material options including Buna, Fluorosilicone and Viton (Fluorocarbon).

All of Accu’s Stainless Steel Sealing Screws can also be supplied with a specialist thread locking patch for applications where self loosening as a result of harsh vibrations needs to be avoided.

Sizes

Manufactured to the ISO 7380 standard, Accu’s range of Metric Security Torx Button Sealing Screws are available in M3 to M6 thread sizes, with lengths from 10mm to 60mm.

Imperial Security Torx Button Head Sealing Screws are also available from Accu.
