Accu’s Imperial Security Torx Button Head Sealing Screws are fitted with a resilient captive O-Ring, designed to offer maximum protection against internal and external leaks. This type of Sealing Screw features a low profile domed head, for an aesthetically pleasing finish which is free from sharp edges.

When fastened into a pre-tapped hole, using a Security Torx Drive Bit or Security Torx Wrench, the fitted O-Ring will squeeze and reshape itself to form a hermetic seal. To achieve optimal performance, it is recommended to use a clearance hole in order to prevent extrusion into the mating surface when the fastening is under pressure.

Unlike a standard Imperial Security Torx Button Head Screw, this O Ring Screw is fitted with a Security Star Drive (6 Lobe Pin), with the pin in the centre of the drive preventing a regular Torx Screwdriver or Drive Bit from being used, making this a tamper proof Sealing Screw. As with the standard Torx Drive, this security variant also benefits from cam-out resistance and high torque transmission.

Trusted by a wide range of industries, including Automotive, Aerospace and Marine, ZAGO manufactured Sealing Screws are produced to Military Spec and are pressure-resistant to 1,500 psi. Self Sealing Screws are designed to effectively seal in or seal out air, gas and water, even when subjected to extreme temperature conditions and high pressure.

Materials

Accu’s range of Imperial Security Torx Button Head Sealing Screws are manufactured from A2 Stainless Steel. The captive O Ring is available in material options including Buna, Fluorosilicone and Viton (Fluorocarbon).

This type of Stainless Steel Sealing Screw can also be supplied with a specialist thread locking patch, providing extra resistance to self loosening as a result of harsh vibrations.

Sizes

Manufactured in accordance with ANSI B18.6.3 standard, Accu’s Imperial Security Torx Button Head Sealing Screws range from No. 4 to ¼” thread sizes, with lengths from ¼” to 1.½”.
