Trapezoidal Metric Lead Screws are designed to convert rotary motion into highly precise linear actuation. The trapezoidal tooth profile of Trapezoidal Lead Screws gives them greater tooth strength, and enhances load-bearing capabilities. Trapezoidal Lead Screws have a thread angle of 30°, which is slightly shallower than the tooth angle of an equivalent ACME Imperial Lead Screw. For help in identifying trapezoidal thread forms, a Trapezoidal Thread Ring Gauge or Trapezoidal Thread Plug Gauge may be useful.
Lead Screw Materials
Components in this range are available both Carbon Steel (C15 and C45) and Stainless Steel (A2 and A4).
Trapezoidal Lead Screw Nuts
Trapezoidal Lead Screw Nuts feature the same trapezoidal teeth profile as Trapezoidal Lead Screws. Nuts within this range come in a variety of types including flanged, cyclindrical and hexagonal, and are available several materials, including Mild Steel, Bronze, Stainless Steel and Nylon.
Lead Screw Nut Materials
Lead Screw Nuts can be manufactured from a range of materials, including Bright Steel, Stainless Steel, Bronze, and Lightweight Nylon. AccuGroup's Lead Screw Nuts are generally not manufactured in the same range of materials as their corresponding Lead Screws - this is because the use of identical metals in both Lead Screw and Nut can encourage galling within a mechanism.
