ACME Thread Lead Screws (sometimes called ACME Rod) are designed to provide a solution for linear actuation which can be operated at very high precision. A Lead Screw is rotated, driving a Lead Screw Nut along its length in highly precise increments. ACME Lead Screws are manufactured to industry standards and can be coupled with any ACME Nut with a thread profile of 29º. An added bonus of the ACME Lead Screw range is that it can be complemented by a full standard range of ACME Anti-Backlash Lead Screw Nuts.
Self Lubricating TFE Coating
ACME Lead Screws can also be provided with a patented TFE (Tetrafluoroethylene) coating, which reduces friction and improves operating efficiency within a Lead Screw assembly. For more information, visit our TFE Coated ACME Lead Screw range.
ACME Thread Form
An ACME thread is a widely used Lead Screw configuration which features a trapezoidal-shaped thread with a thread angle of 29°. Using the pre-determined ACME thread form allows our design engineers to work closely with the customers’ existing ACME lead screw applications, ensuring cross-compatibility, whilst also offering our unique products and modifications. Custom modifications include attributes such as standard end modifications for improved connectivity within the customer’s application.
Lead Screws are also available with a 30° trapezoidal thread type, and can be found within AccuGroup's Trapezoidal Lead Screws range.
