ER Collets are a sub-type of Chuck, and are the most commonly-used Collet type in the world. They are designed to create a semi-flexible collar around a piece of tooling, which allows a Drill or similar Cutter to be held centrally and securely within a piece of machinery. ER Collets are commonly used alongside specialised ER Collet Chucks, which are specially designed to accommodate a removable ER Collet.
As ER Collets are manufactured with a series of slits to allow for flexibility and contraction, each size can support a range of shank sizes of either metric or imperial design.
High precision, bespoke manufacture of ER Collets to customer specification. State of the art facilities specialising in both small batch prototyping and large scale manufacture.
