What are Assembly Hardware?

Engineering Hardware.

Accu’s Engineering Hardware range comprises a wide variety of engineering components. From unthreaded fastenings such as  Metal Dowel Pins, and Pop Rivets to components which convert unthreaded holes such as Self Tapping Inserts, Accu's standard hardware range provides engineers with versatile components and fastening solutions, capable of being used in a wide number of applications. 

Stainless Steel Hardware.

The majority of our standard hardware components such as Rivets, Rivnuts, Circlips and Hose Clamps are available in Stainless Steel. Stainless Steel Hardware components can also be Chemical Blackened for an aesthetically pleasing matte black finish. 

Plastic Hardware Components.

Other materials in this range include durable and flexible neoprene rubber that is used for products such as our Anti-Vibration Grommet Mounts. Other plastic components include products such as polyamide plastic hose clamps, open/closed universal nylon bushes and cable ties.

Types Of Engineering Hardware .

In 2022, we split our Engineering Hardware category into Assembly Hardware & Finishing Hardware to help keep things organised. It’s not always black and white but we’ve used the following definitions to guide us. 

1. Assembly Hardware - Hardware used to provide essential structural integrity to an assembly without which the assembly would not be fit for purpose.
2. Finishing Hardware - Hardware that provides additional aesthetic value, usability, security or ingress protection to an assembly but is not integral to the core application.
