What are Imperial Thin Hexagon Nylon Locking Nuts?

This type of locking nut is a smaller variant of Accu’s Imperial Hexagon Nylon Locking Nuts, designed to provide a low cost solution to fasteners self loosening.

Whilst the standard size benefits from greater thread-to-thread contact, Imperial Thin Nyloc Nuts are better suited for applications where space is limited.

As with other Nylon Insert Nuts, the polymer insert of this locking nut is designed for use in applications where the temperature environment reaches up to 121°C (250°F). The elastic insert provides a tight grip around the threaded fastener to keep it securely in place.
