Manufactured in the USA by ZAGO, Imperial Hexagon Sealing Bolts are designed to create a complete seal when installed, protecting machinery and devices from hazardous substances.
Built to withstand extreme temperatures conditions and atmospheres, these Sealing Bolts are engineered with a specialised groove on the underside of the bolt head. Fitted into this groove is a captive rubber O Ring, which when tightened performs more efficiently than if using a conventional Hexagon Bolt with a separate O Ring.
This is because the built-in O Ring forms a permanent hermetic seal when fastened into a pre-tapped mating panel with a clearance hole. When installed this way, optimal performance of sensitive equipment is maintained with the seal preventing oils, gases and other contaminants from seeping in or out, causing damage.
Produced to Military Specifications, these O Ring Bolts are pressure tested to 1500 psi, making them suited to applications across a wide range of industries, including Aerospace, Automotive and Marine.
Hex Sealing Bolts typically have an unlimited shelf-life and are reusable. They are simple to install as the captive O Ring is supplied pre-fitted into the underside of the Bolt head. During installation, this allows for metal-to-metal contact which helps to prolong the life of the O-Ring whilst maintaining efficiency of the fixture.
Accu’s range of Imperial Hex Sealing Bolts are made from A2 (304) Stainless Steel as standard.
O Ring materials for this range include Buna, Fluorosilicone and Viton (Fluorocarbon. Alternative Bolt and O Ring materials are available on request.
Imperial Sealing Bolts can also be supplied with our pre-applied AccuLock thread locking patch, helping prevent the risk of self loosening.
