What are Imperial Security Socket Countersunk Sealing Screws ?
Imperial Security Socket Countersunk Sealing Screws are configured with a built-in rubber O-ring which creates a permanent hermetic seal around the underside of the screw head. This 360° seal prevents contaminants and toxins from seeping into the installation environment, protecting and fortifying the machinery.
It’s recommended to install a clearance hole into the mating panel, prior to installation as this will allow the O-Ring to reshape itself within this gap, ensuring optimal performance. As a result, this means that a permanent, airtight seal is created, permitting metal-to-metal contact.
As a high-tech Countersunk Sealing Screw, the primary purpose of this fastener is to protect against damage caused by aggressive substances, even under extreme temperatures and pressures. Imperial Security Countersunk Sealing Screws are designed to meet Military Standard NASM 82496 and are pressure resistant to 1500 psi.
Fitted with a Security Socket Drive, this type of Self Seal Screw is compatible with our range of Security Hexagon Drive Bits. Thanks to this tamper proof drive, this fastener offers increased resistance to vandalism when compared to a standard Socket Drive.

This range of Sealing Screws feature a number of material options for the captive O Ring, with Buna, Fluorosilicone and Viton (Fluorocarbon) variants all offered as standard. Other Screw and O Ring materials can be requested as required.
