Brinell Hardness Testing  

There are many methods of measuring hardness. One of the most common ways is by indentation, which calculates the force required to indent the material. The Brinell hardness tester uses a spherical indenter which can measure uneven surface. The Brinell scale was the first standardised test. 

Rockwell Scale
