Serrated Flanged Hexagon Nuts are ideal for applications under vibration. Along with providing increased load distribution, the serrated flange prevents the nut becoming loose by biting into the surface of the mating assembly.
Serrated Flange Nuts can be used as an alternative to a Hex Nut and Anti-Vibration Washer, reducing the part count of the assembly. This approach is ideal when trying to achieve a value-engineered locking solution.
Metric Non-Serrated Flange Nutsare also available from Accu, designed for applications where an integrated washer is required for load distribution, but needs to be flat to the surface material so it doesn't contain serrations.
Stainless Steel Serrated Flange Nuts in this range are manufactured in A2 and A4 Stainless Steel, with either a natural or Matte Black finish available.
