Metric Socket Cone Point Set Screws (often called Grub Screws) feature a pointed tip, which allows them to penetrate into flat surfaces. The cone-shaped point of these components also allows them to centralise themselves in pre-drilled holes, which can increase efficiency on automated assembly lines.

For applications where an angular point is not required, a Cup Point Set Screw or alternatively a Flat Point Set Screw may be preferable. The hexagon socket drive of these components is ideal for use with one of Accu’s Hexagon Socket Drive Bits.

Materials

Socket Cone Point Grub Screws are manufactured in a wide range of materials, including Aluminium, Brass, Phosphor Bronze, PEEK, and Stainless Steel. Chemical Blacking is also available on these components.

Metric

DIN 914 Socket Cone Point Grub Screws are available in metric thread sizes ranging from M1.6 up to M16, and lengths of between 2.00mm and 90.00mm.

Imperial

Imperial Socket Cone Point Grub Screws are manufactured in diameters from No. 2 up to 3/8 inch, and lengths of between 1/8 inch and 2 inch, with additional sizes available on customer request.
