Oldham Couplings are made up of three rotating discs - one connected to the input shaft, one connected to the output shaft, and a central disc which orbits between the two by sliding on a pair of tongues and grooves. Oldham Couplings compact, and are used to compensate for parallel misalignment.
This component is mounted to a shaft using a Pin Hub, which is fastened in place using a supplied Set Screw. Pin Hubs hold an advantage over Split Hub Oldham Couplings in that they can tightened and securely fastened to a slightly undersized shaft if necessary.
