Oldham Couplings are built from three rotating discs - one connected to the input shaft, one connected to the output shaft, and a central disc which orbits between the two by sliding on a pair of tongues and grooves. Oldham Couplings are particularly useful for their compact size, and are used in compensation for parallel misalignment.
