Self Clinching pins are designed for insertion into sheet metal as a locating feature. They are to be installed by pressing into a drilled, punched or laser cut hole, during which the metal deforms and cold flows into the features at the base of the pin. This locks the pin in place as a permanent feature Self Clinching Flush Head Pins when installed leave a flush surface on the rear face of the sheet, to reduce the risk of snagging and leave a neat finish. these parts should not be installed too close to the edge of a sheet, to reduce deformation and retain positioning accuracy. The data for this figure is located in each product description.
