Tapped Inserts And Thread Reducers

Tapped Inserts And Thread Reducers

What are Tapped Inserts And Thread Reducers?

Accu has an extensive range of Tapped Inserts And Thread Reducer Adapters. Self Tapping Inserts, also referred to as helicoils or threaded bushings create a secure anchor in a pilot hole, making them suitable for use with machine screws. They are often used with low shear strength material because the self tapping insert increases thread engagement and strengthens the connection. They can be used to reduce wear within machines which require frequent clamping and unclamping.

Thread Reducer Adapters, also known as thread reducing attachments are a type of mechanism which are used to change the size of the threads. They are commonly used as an attachment for pipes so a smaller part can be attached to a larger threaded component. These adapters are most commonly used to reduce threaded holes or clearance holes to smaller thread sizes.

Accu also has a multi slot cable gland, which is made up of Cable Gland Slotted Sealing Inserts, Polymide Lock Nuts and Cable Gland Bodies which work together as three parts to create one assembly.
