BT MAS ER Collet Chucks are a type of Spindle Tooling sold by Accu. ER Collet Chucks in this range are balanced to a G6.3 or G2.5 rating.
Straight Shank ER Collet Chucks mount to the working side of a lathe spindle in the same manner as a three-jaw chuck. ER Collet Chucks in this range use the machine’s existing hydraulic cylinder and drawtube for actuation. The installation of an ER Collet Chuck usually requires the fitment of an intermediate adapter in between the drawtube and chuck to compensate for position and thread disparities. These can be found in Accu’s ER Collets range.
Morse Taper ER Collet Chucks are particularly advantageous for turning at especially high amounts of spindle rpm.
